Ruth was the first of the team to head out to Mexico, as the Joomla! Leadership Teams were having a joint summit in advance of the conference - so the rest of the team had to ensure the beautiful sunsets on her social media profiles for a few days before they too landed in Cancun, where the temperature rarely dropped below 30°C during the day!
Marco joined her soon thereafter and in no time the conference was underway - jam-packed full of interesting talks, workshops and of course lots of opportunity for networking!
The conference saw the launch of the new Joomla Volunteers Portal - http://volunteers.joomla.org - which will be the central place for all voluntary activity within the project. Make sure you're signed up if you are a #joomler!
We had a great time meeting friends old and new, and Marco even managed to don his snorkle and mask to explore the underwater world off Cancun, which was stunning.
Following the summit, the Community Leadership Team had a meeting which Ruth was involved in - a really productive couple of days - and before we knew it, we were headed back to the gloomy skies of Europe! All in all, a great conference and a wonderful experience meeting so many joomlers from around the world!
