Attending last year’s Awards event was enjoyable and the calibre of women nominated for Awards was impressive, to say the least. We seized this as a great opportunity to network with women and men from the technology sector, so new contacts were made and future collaborations were mooted. Clearly, women in tech are a force to behold, and if you want to be part of that, reserve your tickets for the Awards event at Cambridge Corn Exchange in November!
Nominations for The DevelopHer Awards are open until Monday 4th September. There are 14 categories (including some new ones), so don’t hesitate to nominate women you know who are doing great work, including the “Unsung Heroines”.
The DevelopHER Awards recognise and reward our region’s female industry influencers, both those just beginning their careers and the more experienced. It isn’t just about women who are the public faces of their companies or brands, you can also nominate women who diligently perform vital support and enabling roles behind the scenes.
So these Awards are different in that they are not only for coders, web developers and “techies”. You could nominate a woman who runs her own successful e-commerce business, a woman in tech who has influenced or inspired you, perhaps someone who has enabled you to present a strong online presence for your own business. Or you could flag up “one to watch” and nominate a recent graduate, an industry newcomer or a great Apprentice.
We couldn’t let this moment go by without acknowledging all the women in our own team who have worked so hard in our company, and the men who find working in this diverse team a welcome pleasure. Together, they’ve helped to deliver outstanding projects and service to our clients. Thank you, team!
